Mobile coverage in Oman
Oman's mobile network is served by two main operators: Omantel and Ooredoo Oman. 4G LTE coverage is widely available across Muscat, Salalah, Nizwa, Sur, and most major cities and towns, with coverage extending along main highway corridors and tourist routes. The Jebel Akhdar plateau has coverage in Al Hamra and Birkat Al Mawz, with signal varying on mountain roads. Wadi Shab and Wadi Bani Khalid have coverage near entrance areas with signal weakening in deeper canyon sections. The Wahiba Sands has coverage in Bidiya and edge settlements, with signal dropping in the desert interior. Remote areas of Dhofar, the Musandam Peninsula, and border regions near Yemen, Saudi Arabia, and UAE may have more limited infrastructure. MobiSIM connects through supported Omani networks to deliver reliable data across the country's main cities and tourist routes.
