Mobile coverage in New Zealand
New Zealand's mobile network is served by three main operators: Spark, One NZ (formerly Vodafone NZ), and 2degrees. 4G LTE coverage is strong across Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown, and all major cities, with coverage extending along main State Highway corridors and most tourist routes. Fiordland National Park including Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound has very limited coverage due to the remote fjord terrain. The West Coast of the South Island, remote Northland peninsulas, and backcountry areas of the Southern Alps have significant coverage gaps. Stewart Island and the Chatham Islands have limited infrastructure. MobiSIM connects through supported New Zealand networks to deliver reliable data across the country's main cities and popular tourist routes.
